Analemma…the Sun’s picture taken every day from the same spot each day of the year. Found via https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap220918.html

We’ve seen it coming here in the Northern Hemisphere. The shortening days…soon to be made worse by nefarious time-tinkering.

Each day losing a little more light.

We welcome the harvest season (Northern Hemisphere), the equinoxal event, at 9:04pm EDT. The Sun steps into the airy cardinal sign of Libra and blesses us with all the Venusian vibes…abundance, giving, receiving, pumpkin spice latte, some indulgences, please.

Mercury is right there, having started their backward tango steps out of Libra on September 10, as part of its thrice yearly retrogradation.

What’s the story Mercury? Well, they’re in a strange out-of-sign trine to Pluto, with an opposition to Neptune and Jupiter. All the players are retrograde…remembering, recalling, recollecting. Does everything feel stalled? The dreams, the plans, the ideas, the change—all teetering around in backwards world?

Meaning comes in deep, maybe too deep. Words may drive to the core of the matter and mix with dreams and a propensity to make it all bigger. Jupiter is a blessing, when you’re able to assess your limits, and that can be hard with Neptune in the arena.

Venus is in mutual reception with Mercury, so the elements of desire and joy are close at hand on this transitional day. While words and thoughts may find comfort in Libra or facility with a tricky situation, being in retrograde means they come in through side doors and backwards. There’s some interpretation to be made. Venus in Virgo brings in a lovely delight in deciphering puzzling wordplay, but also, mmm, did you have to wear THAT shirt?

May you find the balance of desire and discernment.

May you find the secret key to unlock your dreams.

May you delight in going big while taking cues from the still small voice within.

Blessings on this Equinox.
